The former Fighting Irish star outdueled her ex-teammate, Arike Ogunbowale

Notre Dame alum Sonia Citron had a heck of a game for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics over the weekend.

Citron, a rookie guard, had 27 points and 11 rebounds and hit the go-ahead three-point shot with 12.2 seconds remaining in overtime as the Mystics beat the Dallas Wings 91-88 in Washington.

Citron was 9 of 13 from the field and had four three-pointers (a career best). Her effort helped move the Mystics to 6-8.

Dallas fell to 3-12.

Arike Ogunbowale, Citron’s former teammate at Notre Dame, led the Wings with 27 points.
