Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey shoots down officiating blame in Week 7 loss

Terrible officiating was a big part of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 7 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals — and Jalen Ramsey revealed his honest feelings on the subject.

Following the loss, Ramsey addressed Week 7’s poor officiating but made it crystal clear to reporters that he’s taking accountability rather than blaming penalties.

“F— the calls,” Ramsey said. “Don’t worry about that. We have to play better — starting with myself — when the opportunity presents itself. That’s part of the game. When you have receivers that are superstars in the league, you know that they get away with sh– like that. It is what it is.”

The Steelers cornerbacks were constantly flagged throughout the Week 7 matchup against Cincinnati — including a pass interference penalty that should’ve instead been on Ja’Marr Chase rather than Ramsey.

The multiple-time All-Pro cornerback has the right attitude moving forward, as there are no excuses in the world that could make this loss any easier to bear.
