Sydney Sweeney Selling Underwear With THIS Lyric From Her Boyfriend Scooter Braun’s Nemesis Taylor Swift!

Oh, Sydney Sweeney is sooooo messy for this!

We all know the story behind Scooter Braun‘s feud with Taylor Swift by now. They have been feuding for years, ever since he purchased her masters in 2019. Because of this, Swifties now cannot help but raise their eyebrows at his girlfriend of nearly a year over her latest product referencing his enemy!

On Thursday, Sydney took to Instagram Stories to show off a new line of underwear for her brand SYRN. One pair featured an embroidered phrase: “but daddy I love him.” The Euphoria actress played it off, saying it is only “panty packs with some of my lil sayings.” But you know what else it is? But Daddy I Love Him is the title of one of Taylor’s songs from The Tortured Poets Department! Ch-ch-check it out (below):

Giiiiirllll…..

Fans instantly recognized the reference, and they called Sydney out on X (Twitter)! People wrote:

“Sydney Sweeney, girlfriend to Scooter Braun, has a Taylor Swift lyric on a pair of panties that her brand is selling: ‘but daddy I love him’, and then she says it is one of her little sayings? Messy girl.”

“TAYLOR SUE”

“The audacity”

“Taylor should sue for copyright.”

“putting that on underwear is certainly a choice”

However, others pointed out that Tay Tay doesn’t own the phrase, nor did she create it:

“I don’t love her but ‘but daddy I love him’ isn’t from the Taylor Swift song, it’s a line in The Little Mermaid.”

“But daddy I love him was not made up by Taylor Swift….lol”

“This quote was not made up by taylor swift”

“This is a line from the little mermaid actually.. neither of them own it”

“Taylor doesn’t own that line but that is still a weird choice of design.”

Look, we know all of this! People have been using this phrase for years! But it wouldn’t shock us if Sydney knew putting “but daddy I love him” on the underwear would help promote her business and get a certain group of people talking! This is the same woman who leaned into a fake showmance with her co-star to sell a film! Who’s to say she wouldn’t lean into her boyfriend’s feud to sell her lingerie too?
